As a member of the Communications team I designed the logo for our local Indivisible group, took photos and conducted video interviews.

In my new role at JOMDC, I will conceptualize new events with local businesses, train volunteers, and create new partnerships with local public and private schools and senior centers in order to provide access to world-class dance education.

I am responsible for the marketing department at Joy of Motion Dance Center. I oversee all creative services, branding, and community engagement between three studio locations and our main office at WeWork, Dupont Circle. Since transitioning into this role, I have secured 4 television appearances, launched the JOMDC Instagram and Pinterest profiles, and increased all fan followers by 20%. Unique website visitors increased by 40K people in one year. I wrote and cast the commerical below.

I conceptualize and execute inventive strategies to engage the community through concerts, events, outreach, media and production as Director of Production for JOMDC. I oversee the production of 50 concerts and events each year. 

Accomplishments:Partnered with Marketing Department in order to create a series of promotional videos garnering over 175,000 unique views in 3 years. Doubled the audience and participation in the Dance Project Series by adding an innovative (low cost) prize package, strategic timing, and targeted marketing. A 2-year analysis of audience and performer participation inspired a restructure of the concert season which doubled participation the next fiscal year. Strengthened the Theater Workstudy program by systematizing job duties, highly effective calendar management and morale boosting activities all while under budget. Developed lucrative partnerships with Macy's, the National Cherry Blossom Festival, Earth Day and the Atlas Performing Arts Center resulting in performance exposure, fundraising, and reduced cost production rentals. Elevated public opinion of JOMDC Productions while functioning as the 'face' of the organization by troubleshooting gracefully, exceptional client relations and optimal communication management.Grew the department by booking additional rentals, gigs and events necessitating new staff position, Production Coordinator.
