Brand Ambassador

Toronto, Canada Area

I have had the pleasure of working for Launch on three separate occasions since April 2014 as a Brand Ambassador. I began with them on April 22, 2014, assisting on a one day contract position for Launch's client Oxford Properties and their Earth Day initiative. This Earth Day project included the Canopy Project, which focused on the tree devastation following the 2013 ice storm in the GTA. That day we distributed seeds to communicate the importance of a sustainable environment. The second event in which I worked for Launch was at the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) representing Hellmann's Mayonnaise and "The Real Food Movement". For three days my team and I, handed out samples of healthy food made with Hellmanns Mayonnaise. Our food truck was brilliantly made of a variety of plants which attracted different crowds. We also had a game stationed beside the truck, which educated children on different healthy foods. My third event with Launch was in early November where I represented their client Sprott Asset Management. This event focused on distributing invitations at Oakville Go station and informing the public on their upcoming event on "smart money". I enjoyed this event because I had the opportunity to engage and adjust to a more corporate crowd. After working with Launch, I took away more knowledge in sales, learned how to work in a corporate environment, gained appreciation for different brands, and established an amazing network of colleges and friends.

I attend events such as street festivals, make appearances in grocery stores, and even hand out fliers in-front of Zipcar's Toronto office. This job allowed me to be myself, engage with others, and meet many new people. It also gave me extraordinary experience in sales, and understanding the mind of the customer, and their needs.

Barista

Spot Coffee

At Spot Coffee, I was introduced to an entirely new company, one in which I had never heard of at the time. They provided a far different cafe experience, one that could be connected more towards a restaurant, with the casual intimacy of a coffee house. I began working at Spot as a line cook, the reason being was that they wanted their staff to truly understand the product so that one was more informed when at the cash register. I found that very beneficial especially when I was promoted to Barista and worked more one on one with the customer.

Toronto, Canada Area

Coached young children between the ages of 6 and 10 in the sport of Synchronized Swimming. Focusing on skills, routine, exercise and having fun. In being a coach I worked with an entirely different group of people than I was normally used too. It brought me out of my comfort zone and helped me to learn how to interact which children (who at the time) where half my age. This was one of the funnest experiences I have ever had because I had artistic freedom and could share my years of experience in the sport, in the hopes of inspiring young people.
