I recently completed a competitive one-year charity-sector apprenticeship run by Child.org. The programme offers interdisciplinary training for those considering a career in the third sector, and covered topics and issues such as International Development policy and practice, poverty alleviation, social enterprise development, insight management, volunteer management and fundraising coordination. During the apprenticeship I organised fundraising events and travelled to Kenya on a work placement.I am also involved in various fundraising activities for the charity and in 2016 organised a team to take on a sponsored 100km trek from London to Brighton in May 2016. Ten Dental is an award winning, specialist referral practice with 4 state of the art clinics based in Clapham, Balham and Wandsworth, South London.I worked with the Ten Dental head office team for around 2 months between May and July of 2016 as a digital marketing manager. My main responsibilities included project managing the build of 3 new websites for the business, the build-out of Infusionsoft email marketing and CRM systems, writing and editing blog content, and designing and managing Facebook paid media campaigns.

HOVIC (Hope for Victoria Children) is a community-led NGO based in Kisumu, Kenya. The organisation provides shelter, counselling, informal education and many other essential services to children living on the streets, involved in child labour or living in vulnerable circumstances in Kisumu.I worked as a volunteer at HOVIC during the summer of 2016, project managing the organisation and digitisation of over 10 years of child case files and analysing the data collected over this time. I also assisted in creating a healthcare curriculum for the shelter.

Following a successful 3 month internship I was asked to join 7connections permanently on a consultancy basis alongside my final year undergraduate studies. I was then asked to join the team as a full-time Campaign Manager following graduation. The business provides email marketing, management consultancy and business coaching primarily to business owners in the private medical and healthcare charity sectors. My main responsibilities and successes included:• Overseeing the development, design and implementation of email marketing campaigns• Management of all email marketing accounts and analytics reporting• Content development and creation• Managed the design, build and implementation of marketing materials and email fundraising campaigns for dental charity Bridge2Aid

The UEL International Development Undergraduate Conference is a student-led conference for undergraduates focusing on the themes of International Development, Politics, Economics and Anthropology. The title for 2015 was "Is Sustainable Development Possible? Economic, Social and Environmental Development" and the programme included keynote speakers, student presenters and exhibitors. I volunteered my services and my main responsibilities involved: • Liaising with universities to attract attendees and abstract submissions• Liaising with and organising key-note speakers• Project managing the creation and dissemination of promotional materials• Membership on the review panel; helping to select final papers for the conference journal
