Soon after completing my degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison I embarked on the challenge of living an working as an English teacher in Seoul, South Korea. After returning to the US following a very rewarding year there, I began my career in insurance with West Bend Mutual. My background is in English and writing; however, I've enjoyed learning and growing in the insurance industry. In many ways I still see myself as a writer and editor at heart who has been enriched by the business experience I have gained in my current position.I have a creative mindset and actively look for ways to exercise it at work and after I go home. Before my promotion to Assistant Underwriter I was writing the Ask the Experts blog for West Bend which was published about once a month by our Marketing Department on the company's website. When presented with challenges I consistently rise to the occasion and wouldn't want it any other way.Currently I'm working on sharpening my HTML skills to more easily bring my creative skills to the internet.Specialties:-Strongly developed written and oral communications skills -Editing both creative and more technical/scientific texts-Mac and PC proficiency-Very good with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel-Specialty lines insurance
