In my role with Methodist I assisted in recruitment with Patient Care Technicians, Patient Sitters, RN's, Environmental Service and Food Service positions, and Clinical Secretaries. Other responsibilities included reviewing resumes and applications, identifying qualified candidates, conducting pre-screen interviews, scheduling on-site interviews, extending offers of employment, and on-boarding and hiring all new employees. A main project I managed was the licensure for the Charlton campus in preparation for hiring purposes and for Joint Commission.One of the highlight functions of this role also included dealing with the main front line of employee relations issues that arose.

During this time working in the Human Resources Department at Methodist Charlton Medical Center, my job duties included everything from on-boarding employees, working with E-Verify, checking for legal compliance with certifications, and helping with all of the HR tasks that came about on a daily basis. I was able to shadow and work closely with our recruiters to gain a better understanding of hiring in the medical field.

Getting to work for the YMCA was a truly fulfilling experience. I got to help create job descriptions and manage job postings, assist with preparation of the performance review forms, assist in management of supervisor and employee relations, help organize a job fair for a location hiring a potential 50 candidates, create a team building event for all 20 of the branch locations, assist with the interviewing and on-boarding of employees, help improve the part-time employee on-boarding and training process, create data reports on employee turnover rates, and more.

The Dallas site was the first location to start the marketing outreach team. I was a leader of this team of champions, and the program proved to be extremely successful. We managed our site's social media platforms by creating and planning posts, gaining followers, and finding unique ways to interact with our guests. I also helped plan our team's outreach events as well as internal events and campaigns. I was a Brand Ambassador for the site's celebrity and media appearances. Since the creation of the team and marketing position, I also helped recruit and train 20 new members.
