We've taken our business model, which was built to outfit families so they can live the life they want, and expanded our giving mission. In 2019, we created The Proozy Gives Back Foundation.As the leading initiative in the Proozy Gives Back Foundation, we created the Proozy Cares Closet - partnering with M Health Fairview clinics to help support mental health in our youth.Did you know that 1 in 6 U.S. youth experience a mental health disorder each year? That 50% of all lifetime mental illness begins by age 14 or that suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among people aged 10-14?Wanting to see these numbers decrease, we are now in 5 clinics in the community where kids select items they need so they feel good about themselves and can focus on their mental health or addiction treatment. Each closet has been supplied with basic clothing needs including undergarments, socks, shoes, t-shirts, hoodies, pants, joggers and seasonal gear to the courageous young people in treatment.It's important to Proozy that the kids know our community cares about them and that they matter. Getting new clothing at the beginning of their treatment contributes to their comfort as they begin their journey to wellness.By 2025, our goal is to outfit a million kids. Proozy Gives Back looks forward to our continued partnership with M Health Fairview Behavioral Health Services with a goal of expanding nationwide.
