Baltimore, Maryland Area

Researched, developed and visualized a journey roadmap for a high-reliability ICU hospital unit that addresses preventable harms (e.g. pressure ulcers) in an ICU environment. Additional materials to support the roll-out of the roadmap in various publications and presentations were also designed as part of the work.

Worked alongside healthcare partners, area youth, and other designers to normalize STI testing by conducting user research and analysis, facilitating workshops with all stakeholders, designing a comprehensive messaging campaign and transparent testing initiatives within local sexual health clinics, and devising implementation strategies for final products.

Working with the D&I office to interview stakeholders, synthesize research, develop insights, facilitate ideation workshops, and prototype concepts.• Biomimicry Global Design Challenge: Worked on a team of students to create ideas on how to use biomimicry to solve social issues relating to climate change, with the final idea submitted to an international competition. ***Team Finalist, Open Category• Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute: Worked with nurses and staff to research how to combat patient misidentification from duplicate and incorrect patient bands.
