Senior Communications Executive
Current•Providing a professional and effective communications service to all Star schools.•Managing the trust’s media relations service and acting as the first point of contact for all media enquiries for the trust and its schools.•Leading the management and development of the trust’s social media channels to grow their reach and engagement. Maintaining oversight of all school social media accounts, ensuring content reinforces brand positioning and the trust’s strategic direction.•Designing and creating visually compelling graphics, GIFs and videos tailored for various social media platforms.•Researching, writing, editing and proofreading engaging copy to a high standard for a broad range of audiences and communications channels, including websites, intranets, social media and magazines.•Providing a pro-active media service, including managing the news forward plan, writing press releases and preparing media statements to secure regular, positive media coverage for Star Academies and its schools.•Acting as a brand custodian to ensure all trust and school communications activity complies with the trust’s brand messaging and identity guidelines.•Leading the administration of trust-wide employee and pupil reward and recognition initiatives, including the management of the Star Awards and Star Letters.•Supporting the planning and delivery of communications campaigns and projects for internal and external audiences.•Leading on the planning, production and copywriting of the trust’s stakeholder magazine, Starlight.•Working with the recruitment team to produce and edit content for a range of channels that communicates a compelling employer brand to attract and retain high calibre employees.•Writing, editing and proofreading communications for colleagues, parents and other external audiences.•Working with external suppliers, including designers, photographers and printers, to produce high-quality communications materials.
