My employee benefits experience started with a Third Party Administrator. After 10 years, I was presented an opportunity with Western Life to establish and grow the Sacramento Sales Office from ground level with the Regional Sales Manager. After a few years, we merged with Mutual Benefit Life Insurance and became Fortis Benefits. When this transitioned, I was presented another opportunity to be the Office Manager to manage, build and train the sales support team. In 2002, I became the Regional Operations Manager, responsibilites included managing Office Managers in California Sales Offices. Fortis Benefits then became Assurant Employee Benefits and I then transitioned to a Field Operations Manager which geographically included Sales Offices in California and Washington. My responsibilities included managing the clerical support staff and account management teams in 6 Group Sales Offices. In 2016, Assurant Employee Benefits was acquired by Sun Life Financial and I then became the Associate Director managing Client Services Team of Client Advocates and Client Service Representatives in Northern and Southern California. Due to restructuring of departments within Sun Life my position was eliminated which caused me after 30 years to begin looking for other employment. I was presented a great opportunity with Anthem, Inc in Northern California as Director, Account Management/Sales Support in the Specialty Sales Division. My responsibilities included retention and growth within the client membership for mid market 300 to 2000 plus and Labor and Trust. Due to administrative restructuring my position at Anthem was eliminated as of July 2019. I am excited to begin a new opportunity with UFCW & Employers Trust LLC as a Health and Welfare Member Services Representative. I will be assisting members with all aspects of the Plans' Health and Welfare benefits along with resolving a broad range of questions and problems received from members, beneficiaries, union locals, service providers and other departments of the Fund. I am excited to work for Holt of California in an employer environment in their benefits department which allows me to work with carrier partners, and help employees with their employee benefits package. I have a passion to help individuals understand their benefits and view both my internal and external relationships as customers.Skills include: Team Building, Collaboration, Results, Relationship Building, Coaching and Development
