Enhancing Understanding of Legal Processes and Casework Responsibilities:- Collaborated closely with caseworkers to gain a deeper understanding of legal procedures and court-related matters.- Assisted in summarizing subpoenas for affidavits and collected data for affidavits and case plans on behalf of caseworkers. This included tasks such as monitoring children's health development, requesting Section 16a assessments, researching relapse prevention programs, and liaising with organizations like Centrelink for financial support to families.- Developed exposure to relevant legislation, policies, and regulations, particularly the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 No. 157.Supporting Caseworkers in Assessing and Engaging with Diverse Stakeholders:- Shadowed caseworkers and actively contributed to interactions, assessments, and evaluations of individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities.- Conducted home visits and carer reviews, played a role in developing case plans and care plans, and participated in group supervisions, as well as various meetings such as WAM, PAC, AC, handovers, and catch-up meetings.Investing in Professional Growth and Development:- Enrolled in the Student Development Program, engaging in continuous learning and professional development.- Actively participated in professional supervision sessions, demonstrating a commitment to building a supervisory relationship and seeking valuable feedback from both supervisors and colleagues to enhance performance and skills.
