Feel free to reach out at rachel@cidesigninc.com."What do you do?" Isn't that always the question people ask you?In reality, I wear many different hats, and that has been a deliberate choice on my part. When choosing how to navigate my career in marketing, I realized that I find true joy in using a variety of my skills to create better work, better processes, and better relationships with co-workers, employees, and clients.I have created a niche for myself in the marketing world, leading in project management, resource management, and operational process development, which has led to my role as Director of Production Operations. This means I get to touch all of the pieces of the puzzle. Primarily, my responsibilities are to A) Lead the Project Management team, B) Provide resource planning and allocation for all creative and development teams within the company, and C) Evaluate and create processes for efficient and effective interdepartmental operations. For the first, I work to create goals, KPIs, and processes for the department, plan and track career growth for all team members (including reviews and quarterly touchpoints), monitor workloads and assignments, and provide guidance when needed. For the Resource Management side of things, I oversee managing workloads and schedules for all teams (designers, animators, video production, and developers). Finally, I collaborate within our leadership team to develop internal processes for workflow, new business sales, and reporting. And yes, I still roll up my sleeves and lend my skills as a project manager for select projects/clients. I am involved from start to finish in creative, media, digital, and strategic planning--all of the while making sure the project is executed in a timely and quality manner. My coursework and job experience with a variety of programs: InDesign, Photoshop, iMovie, Audacity, web design, digital photography, and more, show that I have built a solid repertoire of skills that will help me ensure quality control for all client projects. While my work using Workamajig, Hubspot, Google Suite, LucidCharts and Coda have enhanced my abilities in overall operational management.Collaboration. Creativity. Camaraderie. That is what I am working towards in my career. As my career progresses, I hope to get to use all of my skills to the best of my ability and keep projects and the company moving forward.
