After working for 25 years in human resources and staffing industry -most of which were for K-12 schools, I'm grateful to now dedicate my professional time, talent and work to the well-being of individuals, employees, and workplaces. And I have a soft spot for educators!Today, I am Founder of WorkWell and Wixey Center for Wellness, both organizations focused on bringing meditation for wellness to the forefront of personal health. My work helps others to establish an understanding of the effects of stress on the brain and nervous system, and meditation practices to support mental, physical, emotional, social and psychological well-being. Formal training I'm most proud of includes Mindful Schools Teacher Certification, which has prepared me to teach mindfulness curriculum to K-12 Youth, Mindful Leader’s Certified Workplace Mindfulness Facilitator training, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) training through PESI, preparing me to bring trauma informed sensitivity to my work.I'm proud to actively serve Ashland University as an Advisor for the Women in Leadership Program, as a Member of the Board of Directors for Cardinal Stritch High School and Academy and to have experienced service for the Business Advisory Counsel for Anthony Wayne Local Schools, Business Advisory Counsel for Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West, Women of Toledo as a Mentor, and on various speaking panels for women in leadership and other initiatives.When I’m not facilitating meditation, I love spending time with my husband, two kids, two puppies, reading, writing, and training and competing in Latin Ballroom Dance.
