Fascinated by an increasingly technology driven world, where innovation is always around the corner of a great new idea, I was driven to pursue a career in technology. As a former chemist, I conducted experiments using sophisticated laboratory technology, where I was exposed to the diffusing industries of big-tech and big-pharma. As a chemist I developed strong interpersonal skills by closely collaborating with fellow scientists to ensure the integrity of experiments and its results. Furthermore, being able to identify patterns in results through trial and error of experiments, I possess the necessary analytical skills and the fine eye required to discern between trends and outliers in data that is important for success in the field of computer science. In my Masters program, my former internship, and my personal projects I have programmed in Java, Python, C, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. Furthermore, I continue to develop my knowledge of SQL, MySQL, and React framework. As a masters student I have learned the importance of test driven approach to solving problems as I used design patterns such as Factory pattern, MVC pattern, and Delegator pattern to build algorithms. I love the challenge of analyzing a problem, identifying what’s wrong, and finding a creative solution . When working alone or with a group, I am vigilant to produce highest quality of product while maintaining harmony among the group. My goal is to partner my analytical knowledge and collaborative skills learned as a chemist with the technical skills I am acquiring as a graduate student of computer science to solve real-world problems as a software engineer in our increasingly technology driven world.
