I'm currently based in New York City, but was born and raised in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, a U.S. territory north of Guam.Outside of my day job, I'm the co-director of Yung AAJA, the Asian American Journalists Association's young professionals network, and have been the co-chair of AAJA's convention programming committee for two consecutive years in Washington D.C. and Austin, Texas. I am also a board member with The Uproot Project, a network by and for climate and environmental journalists of color.
