I am an Aerospace and Geomatics Engineer with 8+ years of experience, spanning aerospace and Earth observation data systems. In these areas, my work has mainly involved performing modeling and scientific analysis on multidimensional data from Earth observation satellites and airborne sensors to support research & development initiatives. These efforts encompassed a wide range of technical challenges - identifying and mitigating sensor noise, performing calibration and validation, anomaly detection and resolution, detecting points of failure in data and collaborating with hardware/software engineers to resolve them. I identified opportunities for next generation satellite data products by engaging in iterative communication between scientists in Research & Development and product experts in Product Management. This required creating benchmarks representative of customer requirements, tuning software models for optimum performance parameters and building proof-of-concepts ensuring product viability. I have led and managed engineers throughout the project lifecycle defining the project scope, assigning responsibilities, establishing timelines, evaluating output, and providing feedback. I have rapidly learned and used software technologies/tools to generate outcomes of impact, developed marketing materials and crafted demos for events and conferences.I am looking to re-enter the professional workforce after a career hiatus for an unexpected health complexity followed by a voluntary pause to enjoy motherhood.During this time, I completed a post graduate program in Data Science and Business Analytics program from McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. I was elected Vice President for an HOA Board where I worked on an environmental restoration project with the Builder and the City of Austin that would have otherwise cost the Board 65% of the annual assessment.
