I have a BA in English Language and Literature/Letters from Queen's University and a diploma in Assaulted Womens and Childrens Counsellor/Advocate from George Brown College. I am currently the Manager of Advocacy at YW Kitchener-Waterloo, where I help to grow the capacity of our incredible programs that support women, trans*, and non-binary individuals in Waterloo Region.In my previous roles, I have worked as a Shelter Supervisor, an Intensive Housing Support Coordinator, and an Advocacy Coordinator, gaining experience in workshop facilitation, communication, and crisis situations. I am passionate about putting the voices of lived experience at the centre of critical work, in spearheading systemic change through diversity and inclusion practices, story telling, and culture change. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team and passionately believe in one's own ability to foster change. I am motivated by creating sustainable, hope-led change that surrounds, supports, and celebrates the lives of our community members.
