Youthscape exists to give young people the best social, emotional and spiritual landscape on which to build their lives and achieve their potential. We do this through direct work with teenagers, and through training and resourcing others do the same. Within Youthscape there are a range of specific projects and together we tackle some of the biggest issues facing young people today. Our team is our greatest strength. We continue to work in depth in Luton with teenagers, and their positive transformation is at the heart of all we do. Luton

As Core Projects Manager, my responsibilities included:- Social media marketing, website and publicity outreach on behalf of the organisation.- Producing and distributing our weekly podcast for youth workers.- Developing and delivering Open Me, sending new devotional blogs written by youth work writers, focused on a single topic for six weeks, as well as creative development and delivery of additional material.- Coordinating and producing audio and video recording material for the organisation.- Developing and implementing innovative reflection activities and techniques for children.- Helping promote and liaise for the Royal Visit of Prince William and Kate Middleton. - Managing events for the organisation, including the Youth Work Summit, an annual conference acknowledging the work of 1,000 youth workers.- Managing the sponsorship, nominations, social media and marketing, judging, shortlisting, media and presentation evening for the Christian Youth Work awards.

The River Centre, Tonbridge

The Youthwork Summit was a different kind of youth ministry training event, where new and established voices, drawn from every area of the church and beyond explored the future of Christian youth work together. It was one of the largest events focused on supporting Christian youth workers in the UK. My responsibilities included:Booking a venue and negotiating fees.Preparing budgets and adjusting where necessary.Ensuring sufficient staff for the event’s success, including training and preparation.Overseeing and programme managing the day’s activities, speakers and events.

dare2engage is a network of teachers and practitioner, working with those aged 16-19 who share a common aim to develop new and innovative resources for religious education and spiritual development. The project is sponsored by the Jerusalem Trust, which is part of the Sainsbury Family Trusts. My responsibilities included:Marketing the Rage, Despair and Hope project as a DVD and a day conference for 16-19 year olds.Managing the delivery of the art exhibition at a variety of locations including schools and projects and at the Greenbelt festival.Creating materials for artwork with 7-11 year old pupils.Creative development and production of Open, an innovative and interactive resource for 16-19 year olds creating space for reflective thinking in the busy world of college and school.

Breathe is a resource for the spiritual development of 16-19 year olds, encouraging them to explore and consider themes of belief, journey and values through a series of interactive, experiential meditations and activities. Methods include use of iPods and other technology to encourage discussion about topics such as interdependence, self, individuality and identity. My responsibilities included: Creating, marketing, and providing the Breathe resource for spiritual development with a focus on the 16-19 education level.Teaching and delivering teacher training sessions for the Breathe resource.Planning, budgeting and overseeing documentation for the Breathe project.Ensuring consistency in scope and direction for all participants and teachers.

Worked for Luton South MP, Gavin Shuker on a fixed term contract. The majority of my work centred around constituency communications during Gavin's resignation from the Labour Party and the establishing of Change UK: The Independent Group. My responsibilities included project management of an office move and Gavin's Luton-based projects, progressing policy casework and researching local, regional and national issues to prepare responses, reports and updates to support his work.

Voted one of the top 25 jazz clubs in the world (All About Jazz website, 2019) The Bear Club is a unique venue for jazz, blues and alternative music based in Luton, Bedfordshire, UK. Live music, world beers, whisky and gin are on constant supply. Having been involved from the start with pilot events and the physical renovation of the venue, my responsibilities as manager included:Recruiting, training, supervising and motivating staff.Customer service including responding to queries and complaints.Ensuring drinks are kept in good condition.Handling supply deliveries.

During school holidays, this network of churches and community groups open Lunch Kitchens across the UK to provide free, healthy, cooked foods for pupils who usually receive free school meals. We believe each child deserves to eat a cooked meal every day. Starting in July 2011 we cooked and served over 80,000 meals in more than 60 locations in England, Scotland and Wales in the first five years. All run by volunteers and rely on donations of money and time to make things happen. As Founder and Director, my responsibilities included:- Managing 5 staff members and 2,500 volunteers, including children and parent volunteers.- Fighting child poverty during school holidays through the feeding of thousands of children daily.- Consultancy for the Mayor's Fund for London for their Kitchen Social project- Advocacy to raise the profile of holiday hunger nationally including giving evidence at a parliamentary enquiry, membership of the All Party Parliamentary Group for School Food, contributing to a report on child poverty to the House of Commons and campaigning for active discussion about the situation.- Fundraising to continue and expand the work of the charity- Providing training, support and evaluation for a pilot holiday provision programme for the Mayor's Fund for London- Overseeing the charity's transition to becoming part of TLG

Development and delivery of the Orison resource, including planning, liaison with schools, co-ordinating volunteers, teaching, training teams and managing online presence."Orison created more than just prayer spaces in the school. It brought with it an air of excitement which spread like wildfire. The children were enthused, visitors were awed. Busy parents rushed in for a quick look and were mesmerised by how spiritually aware their children can be, when given the opportunity.It was exhilarating to witness an entire school community excited about ‘talking to God’. Orison, in our experience was a God-send. As a school we feel blessed that we managed, even for a short time, to capture something so indefinably powerful. Their aim is to be a Christian community in the heart of London which connects people to God by exploring the clear and relevant teaching of Jesus Christ. My responsibilities included:Organising the communication platforms and master Church calendar, the management of Church office functions and all essential records maintenance.Coordinating the areas of property maintenance and database management.Being the first point of contact and reference for all visitors and members.

Manor Park Primary School is a 2 form entry school for boys and girls ages 3-11 years. The school is a high-performing primary school with a commitment to excellence and a good reputation in Coventry. My responsibilities included:Teaching years 1 and 2.Being responsible for all core competencies in the grade for the academic year.Assessing and instructing students, monitoring their academic progress and communicating with parents.

Oak Hill College is a theological college located on Chase Side in Southgate, London, England. It is one of the largest seminaries in the UK. Students are drawn largely from the Church of England, though an increasing number come from other denominations. My responsibilities included:Acting as a personal assistant to the Principal through well prioritised planning and efficient administrative and secretarial support.Dealing effectively with the members of all internal and external stakeholder groups.Proactively assisting with long and short-term planning.Managing the Principal’s diary, providing alerts with regard to the College’s calendar events, the Principal’s other responsibilities and appointments.

It was founded in 1894 and is a leading global University committed to academic excellence, focused on business and the professions. My responsibilities included:Assisting in all event marketing and communication for the University.Setting up events, including room set-up, AV coordination, lighting and facilities assistance.Attending any scheduled meetings and training sessions regarding event preparation.
