Fish on Toast is a student-led Entrepreneurs' society at the University of Southampton. We organize different events and activities that are aimed at educating our members in different fields, such as programming, business development, marketing and other entrepreneurial areas. As the Fish on Toast committee we also attend various conferences and events that might help us expand our network and acquire new skills.I hold a marketing position within the society. The newsletter as well as the maintenance of the website are just some of my responsibilities as I also assist in organizing various events.

Southampton Hub is a member of Student Hubs, a UK-wide student-led organization that empowers students to actively deal with socio-economic issues. As a part of this, Southampton Hub hosted the Sustainability Festival, an event aimed at educating students about sustainability issues as well as showing them possibilities to act responsibly within their local community.My tasks included but were not limited to raising the necessary funds, managing the budget as well as organizing the catering for the day.

Coffee Circle is a Berlin-based social business importing and selling coffee from Ethiopia. During my internship I completed many tasks within the Marketing and Branding sphere. One of my main obligations was the management of the diverse social media channels, such as Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter, Flickr and Pinterest. I also developed a concept for the social blogging platform Tumblr and implemented it.Furthermore I was responsible for the Coffee Circle blog by handing out the topics, making sure the blog posts came in in time and integrating them on the website. I contributed several blog posts myself. Apart from the blog, I also managed the content of the website, including new products and their description; I also took part in restructuring the homepage. In collaboration with my supervisor I ran actions and competitions on Facebook. We established a Product Test concept which is now run monthly. Generally, I managed the online presence and content of Coffee Circle along with other smaller everyday tasks.

Da(a)rom is a student initiative aiming at providing support to underprivileged families in Lithuania. In light of this project we organized a clothes collection in the first year and a second hand market in the second year. While in the first year the clothes were sent to Lithuania and distributed between multiple families, the money raised at the second hand market in the second year was donated to a specific cause, namely for the surgery of a boy in Lithuania.As a volunteer I completed practical tasks such as collecting clothes, packing and transporting them. I also assisted in the planning and implementation of the second hand market.
