Lead System Engineer for the Joint Program Office (NRO & DoD) responsible for 5 multi-million dollar Operating System upgrades to the IDEX II System, which were combinations of software and hardware changes. Upgrades included the migration from legacy mainframe and custom hardware to a client server commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) architecture, as well as enhancements to system capabilities. Supervised several spiral development activities from design inception to final delivery. These projects included an image tiles access capability, which provided the ability for low-end workstations to access high quality image data processing. Another project was the development of a common set of Common Imagery Interoperability Profile (CIIP, the predecessor to UIP) compliant application program interfaces (APIs), which provided a standardized interface for accessing imagery and catalog data.
