My career in IT started in 2020, as a service desk analyst for a client in the automotive industry, I managed to land this job mainly due to my English language skills.Due to my technical knowledge I quickly became responsible for training other people in basic networking concepts, features and processes in Windows 10 OS.i was using my free time to improve my python programming skills, as I was really keen on becoming a software dev in the future. I am still at the beginning of my coding journey, creating simple scripts comes easy, but whole applications is still a bit tricky to me.After one and a half year I won the assesment for senior agent role, which combined my old scope of operations with a bit of management responsibilities.I wasn't happy with the management side of my role, that is also why I decided to apply for a more technically demanding role.As around the same time I started reading more and more about cybersecurity topics (especially about biggest cyberattacks around the world and what kind of exploits were used) I started to look at IT security as my next potential direction in which I can grow my career in.In February 2022 I started working in my current job as a SOC Analyst.My Windows 10, python and networking knowledge proved to be really helpful and because of this I was able to learn a lot in a short time, especially about the Microsoft Azure environment, which I can see as my comfort zone when it comes to cloud platforms.In June 2022 I have passed my first Azure certification - Microsoft Azure fundamentals (AZ-900).My current goal is to learn more and expand my resume with many certifications related to cybersecurity (such as CompTIA Security+ and SC 200).
