I am interested in improving the quality of life of individuals with varying communication disorders by providing therapeutic intervention to assist with the remediation of their communicative effectiveness. My goal is to provide every one of my patients with an equal opportunity to engage in successful social and vocational communicative interactions. My areas of interest include cognitive-lingustic impairments, disorders related to voice, fluency, and articulation, as well as receptive-expressive language deficits including written communication. My experiences include both pediatric and geriatric assessment and intervention of speech, language, cognition, and swallowing impairments. I have provided intervention for individuals as well as groups in a variety of clinical settings (such as a private clinic, hospital, speech camp, elementary school, and stroke group). Additionally, I have participated in prevention measures and provided public education related to communication disorders in the community by presenting research at the Georgia Speech-Language-Hearing Association convention in 2016, leading in-services to hospital staff, and creating easily accessible information via generation of the following webpages: http://letstalkfluency.weebly.com and http://voicing.weebly.com
