About Richard Dent

I'm a deeply experienced, impactful NFP Executive, Director, Advisor and Associate with a proud and successful record of leading and growing organisations and movements. I have been active in Australia's civic life for more than two decades, building and leading large complex organisations, advising governments, and contributing to public policy and major social campaigns such as the National Disability Insurance Scheme campaign, as well as fostering leadership in business, government and civic organisations. I help provide services to some of Australia's most disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals and families. I utilise my expertise in leadership, executive management (marketing, BD, finance, operations, HR and more), NFP governance, and executive coaching.

    Leadership Victoria Jan 2012 - Aug 2019
    Melbourne
Leadership Victoria's purpose is to foster leadership in individuals and business, governmenet and civic organisations for progress on complex issues. In my time with LV, we grew more than 500% and fundamentally transformed our organisation and mission. We worked with some of the most established and senior leaders in Australia, as well as supporting emerging leaders from significantly under-resourced backgrounds and demographics to make progress on complex issues. We work with businesses, all levels of government, civic organisations and with individuals. We run leadership development activities, we curate and communicate leadership wisdom, we co-ordinate an outstandingly impactful leadership network and we run Victoria's most intense skilled pro-bono program. We are continually engaged with organisations at an executive, managerial, staff and governance level to deliver tailored activities to help them make progress on complex strategic issues. We are best known for signature Williamson Community Leadership Program, which now forms part of a suite of around 50 distinct and integrated activities every year across Victoria and Australia as a part of a global network. We work with individual organisations, entire sectors, and specific demographics within the community. In 2018 we have a particular focus on women's leadership, multicultural leadership, and civic participation of people with a disability. We foster long-lasting change through long-lasting purposeful relationships, and our communities of practice help bring about enduring progress. Our graduates are significant contributors to Australian public life: many occupy senior leadership positions, and all have a commitment to making a contribution to Australian and global leadership challenges, as well as specific business, government and civic organisations and issues. Our aim is to inspire leaders, create networks, drive change, and be future makers.
