About Radha Karnad

I believe in challenging the status quo in the way health care is delivered to ensure health truly is a right, and not a privilege, and this has been my professional guiding principle. A leader in health systems strengthening, I have worked to improve service delivery in hospital and community settings; develop and implement global health and health technology initiatives; and establish and manage quality health programs for women’s health, adolescent health, and primary health care. In my 15+ year career, I have held leadership, advisory and consulting roles that utilize a range of skills that include strategy, clinical service delivery, quality, business operations, entrepreneurship, and writing. A registered Public Health specialist, I live in Kenya and have worked across Sub-Saharan Africa since 2013. I am an Acumen East Africa Regional Fellow 2016; an Afya Bora Global Health Leadership Fellow 2016-2017; a Future Females Business School UK-Kenya Tech Hub Fellow 2022; and a WomenLiftHealth East Africa Leadership Fellow 2024.
