Radhika is an environmentalist dedicated to making a difference in the social sector. With a degree in Environmental Sciences from Germany and an internship with UNFCCC in Bonn, she returned to India, driven by the stronger need for change she perceived there. Believing that environmental and social justice are intertwined, she founded Badlaav Social Reform Foundation, an NGO addressing both social and environmental issues.Through the foundation, Radhika initiated SAKSHAM (Safe Knowledge on Sexual Health and Menstruation), reaching out to teenagers and menstruators in low-income communities. This initiative provides awareness sessions on Comprehensive Sexuality Education, menstrual hygiene, and sustainable period products, while also building community models and generating livelihoods.Radhika is also a shaper at the Global Shapers Community, Pune Hub, and co-lead of Project Zero Waste. In 2022, she was part of the Davos 50 cohort of young leaders invited to the World Economic Forum's Annual Conference in Davos.Her keen interest in social issues drives her to engage in discussions on various topics with her friends, providing her with opportunities to learn and unlearn. Additionally, she is passionate about politics, seeing it as a powerful avenue to create a systemic change.
