Professional with over 14 years of working with grassroots and national-level non-profit organisations in the Indian Himalayas. My efforts are aimed towards the reconciliation of nature-culture for the well-being of ecosystems and economic development of the local communities with grassroot organisations.I am presently working with GroundUp Conservation as the Head of Grassroots Strategy. My work includes strengthening the organisational capacities of grassroots to ensure sustainability, scaling and reaching masses in need, with a combination of conservation, livelihood and technology. I have previously worked with organisations like WWF-India, Leh Nutrition Project (LNP), Jungwa Foundation (Co-founder), Snow Leopard Conservancy, ECOSS, WWF (Sikkim), LEAD (India), Wildlife Conservation Trust (WCT) among others. I was also involved in strategising a road map for rolling out an Ecosystem-Based Adaption (EbA) for Birdlife International’s Africa Partnership. I am is well-versed with research design, project planning and management for socio-ecological conservation and climate-related work. I have also led teams and mentored grassroots organisations to reach full operational potential. I hold an MPhil in Conservation Leadership from the University of Cambridge supported by the Shared Cambridge Commonwealth Award and the Robert Sansom Scholarship. I am is also the recipient of the LEAD Fellowship (2015) and the Dalai Lama Fellow (2018). I am also the Managing Trustee Board of Samastha Vijay Foundation supporting education opportunities for underprivileged youth in India.
