User Experience DesignerPehchaan The Street School (Trust) Oct 2023 - Jan 2024As a part of my academic association with ConnectFor and UIUX Global, I had the privilege of serving as a UI/UX Design Intern at Pehchaan the street school. During my internship, I had the opportunity to craft a meaningful solution and gained invaluable insights into the impactful work carried out by the Pehchaan team. The experience has been pivotal in shaping my skills and understanding of UI/UX design.Pehchaan The Street School (Trust) is an 8-year-old volunteer-driven, non-profit organization working across various slum areas in Delhi NCR. The primary objective of the organization is to make education accessible to the underprivileged. Today, over 1500 students are being taught across 10 centres of Pehchaan by over 400+ active volunteers.To achieve immediate business goals, Pehchaan wanted to make its existing digital interface (pehchaanstreetschool.org) more informative and user-friendly. With this as a start-point, I did user research, and worked on the user experience & and the interface of the existing web portal with an intent to manifest the NGO’s mission to ‘provide free education for underprivileged children’.The organization already has a thriving relationship with its volunteer community via multiple channels such as social media, and college outreach. By harnessing the strength of this ‘community-connect’, I worked towards achieving the following via its web portal--Encourage more fundraising & and donations-Build an engaging journey for the user to experience the quality of the NGO’s work-Make it easier for more and more potential volunteers to join in the NGO’s missionDuring this 3-month long engagement, I successfully delivered UI wireframes that are optimized to make the donation process smoother to get more CSR and partnerships, and an enhanced interface design with more engaging touch-points. -

Retail Experience Design ManagerFuture Retail Limited 2014 - Dec 2020Mumbai Metropolitan RegionSpearheaded the launch of ‘Future Consumer Hub’ in Mumbai, the first technologically advanced FRL experience store offering rich multi-sensory experiences through the Future Consumer Brand portfolio. Played a central role during the concept & execution of the entire store. Managed the process of co-creation with various internal teams (store design, merchandising, marketing, store operations, brand management, and commercial). Converged various agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Renam structures, and Digital Jalebi (For interactive solutions & UX media installations), to manifest highly interactive experiences at crucial customer touch points and create aesthetically pleasing spaces.Designed and executed engaging display & shopper marketing solutions inside 250 Big Bazaar stores. Handled responsibilities for around 80 in-store marketing campaigns annually with an outlay of 30 Cr.Played a key role during category re-design & consumer experience of the HOME category at Big Bazaar to present to the customers hard home goods and soft linen together for the first time in Indian Hypermarkets. The project, “Grihapravesh” was executed in 100 stores in 2015, and helped a 2% increase in the overall share of the higher margin category. I played a significant role in converging the Design and Merchandising teams to create a strong visual identity for the section. Developed storedesign & visual communication guidelines pertaining to display, graphics & product signage. Led the execution of re-branding of the TRAVEL category. A crucial part of the project was consumer research and category recast. The revamp was planned, mainly to draw more attention to the hands-free bags & travel accessories, targeting the young generation customers. Post-revamp the growth in impulse buys went up by 25% in the pilot stores, as compared to the rest of the non-revamp stores. The overall visibility & display density of the section increased.

The project, “Farm Fresh” was executed at the PAN India level in 2007. The project won the prestigious VMRD award in 2007 in the ‘Food, grocery & general merchandise’ section. • Strategic inputs - Creatively led the design, prototyping & merchandising teams to develop an experience equivalent to buying from a ‘mandi’ - a shopping environment that is vibrant, and buzzing thus transcending the customer to a bazaar atmosphere. • Designed & executed a strong visual identity of the section and visual communication guidelines pertaining to display graphics as well as product signage. As a part of the in-house design studio of the most aspiring retail chain at that time, I fully explored the opportunity of category branding & visual communication Projects. I co-led projects involving Shopper marketing, Promotional event design, Merchandise planogram, and Promotional space design. Learnt efficient project management, and budgeting.
