I was trained as a food technologist (Wageningen University). After graduation I worked in industry as a process engineer and I was project manager for valorization of co-streams from fermentation processes. Most years of my career so far I have worked as a consultant to support companies within the AgroFood and CleanTech sector in their ambitions for international business and innovation:- Matchmaking: finding and selecting suitable business partners for technological and commercial collaboration;- Organize matchmaking events and company missions;- Exploratory studies to map promising technologies, applications, trends, competitive technologies and applications, markets and potential business partners;- Check project ideas for feasibility;- Write project and business plans;- Advise on appropriate subsidies and other incentive programs.Because of my extensive experience. I am a good sparring partner for entrepreneurs and researchers and I can contribute with my know how when it comes to exploring, developing and implementing projects on product and process improvements, innovations and new markets. This applies also to my technological background which enables me to understand quickly technical challenges within the AgroFood and Cleantech and helps me to make meaningful connections between different disciplines and have discussions about it.
