Following IDT’s acquisition of GigPeak in 2017, I was selected to lead the post-acquisition integration and establish the Optical Interconnects business unit. The integration was successful after 2-year effort that involved transformation of operating systems and engineering, product development, and sales organizations. I implemented the Annual Operating plan (AOP) and rolled out performance metrics and tracking systems to empower executive decision-making and improve financial performance. Through portfolio analysis we have prioritized strategic R&D internal investments to optimize ROI. In short, we merged and re-engineered processes, ensuring that the infrastructure and support mechanisms were in place and that all stakeholders worked together in a unified and harmonious manner toward common strategic objectives. I have full, global P&L responsibility for the division and top-charge executive oversight for the 100-person BU. Transformed the global distribution channel and internal and external marketing organization and significantly strengthened the manufacturing, engineering, and financial organizations. Ensured full compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and GAAP requirements.Assimilated quickly and positioned GigPeak as an international provider of optical interconnects for datacom and telecom markets, plus video encoding ASIC and software, and propelled swift move into the tremendously growing cloud market. In less than 1 year, led the combined company to achieve record financial performance with significant increases in profitability and shareholder value.
