As a senior member of the equip eng team, I am responsible to balance competing priorities – managing and executing the larger projects in my department, daily equipment problem solving, managing and monitoring newer equip team members and preparing required reporting on Key Performance Indicators.As a project leader I interact daily with contractors and suppliers who are critical to the success of projects. In order to ensure projects remain on track in a fast paced environment I employ my experience problem solving to resolve issues between multiple parties both internal and external. While performing my PL duties I also work as part of the engineering team to address chronic and emergent production issues based on feedback from maintenance, production and quality such that daily targets are achieved.In order to maximize the engineering group’s efficiency and more evenly distribute work load I utilize my experience and technical knowledge of systems to mentor new team members and bring them up to speed. I mentor and assist interns through their first projects and provide feedback and guidance as required.Strive to implement new tools and systems such that the efficiency and ease of performing daily tasks are increased for the whole team. Recently implemented a new project file storage and organization system such that project data (budget, timeline, commissioning documents, safety certifications, etc..) along with technical documentation (eg. drawings) can all be access from one central point.

As part of the final assembly engineering team I was tasked with preparing several major production line equipment projects for the redesigned 2023 CRV launch. Projects included the refurbishment of the Flexmount robot cell which installs the suspension and engine. Other projects included a new sub-assembly line and lift assist for the Front End Module. I was able to meet the rigid deadlines for all project targets resulting in a spikeless mass-production launch. Due to my thorough situational analysis, understanding of the chronic issues, robust testing and commissioning plans, and well developed schedule, the projects met all the planned targets for run rate, down time, ergonomics, safety, and cost.As a project leader I have gained extensive experience in a variety of projects, from end of life replacement and upgrades, to new equipment. My responsibilities include all facets of project management –understanding requirements, gathering and analyzing data, setting targets, setting and managing the budget, writing specifications, setting the schedule, overseeing commissioning and install. To ensure successful project completion I utilized excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills to work with project stakeholders, including operators, contractors and vendors, and all levels of management from the department management all the way to the Chief Operating Committee. Another aspect of my role is addressing chronic or onetime high impact equipment issues. I have performed detailed fatigue analysis on several pieces of equipment from door carriers to weld servo guns. This involved performing data acquisition to understand load cases, and performing FEA analysis. Interpreting the results, I proposed and implemented countermeasures extending equipment useful life and minimized cost. I also utilized excellent CATIA drafting, Delmia and surfacing skills, to design robotic tooling, equipment modifications, and fixtures.
