Main responsibilities and duty• Manage a team of 70 employees in mixing department.• Ensure all quality procedures are implemented to deliver a quality product.• Perform duties of department Manager absence.• Approve time records and request for time off.• Identify and evaluate employee training requirements.• Cary out staff appraisal, manage performance and discipline staff.• Monitor Key Performance Indicators.• Write reports for management and deliver presentations.• Successfully managed production activities so all order where shipped on time.• Investigate and implement ideas for quality improvement, increase productivity and cost reduction.• Prepare and execute daily mixing schedule based on the stock requirement and the inquiry received from different plants.• Review and approve the requisitions for the raw materials required for mixing. • Ensure the compound is done as per the formulation sheet. • Ensure proper process parameters as specified in the work instructions during Mixing.• Ensure the testing of MB and FB is done according to the testing plan and get if approved from QC Laboratory.• In case of any deviation / discrepancy in the test result from the specification, consult senior Chemist for disposition.• Initiate for the trouble shooting in consultation with senior Chemist, if found any deviation during the compound production.• Verify and approve the daily and monthly production report. • Ensure proper housekeeping and hygienic environment in the plant is maintaining.• Implement safety procedures / practices and arrange for the tool box talk.• Educate and arrange training (if required) for the workers.• Arrange the preventive and break down maintenance in coordination with maintenance Engineer.
