As VP, Platforms & Technology, I served as eMAG board member and led the technology organization that provided software solutions for the eMAG backend systems (content, commercial, operations), Marketplace systems, Fashion Days and the Infrastructure and Cyber Security teams – overall approximately 550 people.The technology organization included both engineering and product functions, was accountable for the operation and maintenance of the eMAG and Fashion Days RO, HU, BG infrastructure, aforementioned software ecosystem and implementation of software solutions to fulfill the company’s yearly and quarterly objectives.Main achievements:• Initiated and led an Agile transformation program to shift the organization from a projects led one to a product driven group, while also adjusting the organizational culture to support this transition;• We managed to redefine the job families and roles and defined a forward focused career management system to create career paths for engineers and improve retention and also to aid in the fast growth of needed competencies;• Migrated the organization to a new structure where product and architecture functions were coordinated between the various departments in order to grow competencies and provide consistent results;• All these while consistently meeting and on many objectives overdelivering results agreed in yearly OKRs and consistently decreasing churn
