I got certified as a physical trainer and took over while my sister (the business owner) recovered from knee surgery. It was incredibly satisfying to contribute to my sister's business. As a trainer I enjoyed leading groups of new moms through work-outs that were appropriate for their fitness level and provided a safe, supportive community for them.

As Marketing Director for the Naval Base Ventura County Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department I oversaw planning and promotion of MWR programs and special events. MWR, manages two bowling alleys, two aquatics centers, three restaurants, two movie theaters, athletic leagues, two athletic facilities and various special events. In my time as Marketing Director I negotiated over $25,000 in corporate sponsorship, coordinated with the base command, base security, MWR staff, civilian contractors, tour management for celebrity performances, the annual Seabee Days street fair, military parade and carnival and the annual Armed Forces Triathlon.

I oversaw the corporate office for a high-end aesthetics company, including customer service, customer education, sales, marketing and business development, logistics for nationwide participation in trade shows and training seminars, daily shipping and receiving, international contract administration, outside sales staff support, public relations communications, hiring, training and managing office staff.

As a licensed insurance agent I solicited the sale of property, business, life and health policies. I was extremely active in local networking organizations and chambers of commerce. I was elected to lead the Ambassadors program for the Northeast Johnson County Chamber of Commerce and was responsible for planning special events, representing the chamber to potential members and assisting chamber guests. I sold over $20,000 in annually renewing policies while in this position.
