Provides technical and engineering support services for the SAIC Management & Operations contract with the Yucca Mountain Site Characterization Office of the Department of Energy, Nevada Test Site. Advises Field Operations Center staff on technical aspects of computer systems. Responsible for collection in the field of GPS data. Manages the Global Positioning System (GPS) community base station which provided reference data for differential GPS correction. Performs contract planning, technical design, and real property management for all Air Force installations in the United States Southern Command area of responsibility. Develops and maintains the Base Comprehensive Plan including participating in efforts to develop comprehensive digitized mapping of Panama. Conducts and manages engineering studies to determine feasibility or capability of existing military facilities to support new missions. Surveys existing facilities to determine repair and replacement requirements or other alterations necessary for improvement. Coordinates engineering support for the implementation of the Panama Canal Treaty. Plans and insures that 400 personnel and over 1400 tons of heavy construction equipment were in a state of readiness to meet worldwide deployment and wartime commitments. Configures, manages and maintains WANG VS-100 computer system and peripheral devices to provide information automation support for the squadron. Develops programs and software for all functional areas. Provides technical support and training for end users. Maintains all communications hardware/software to provide access to the Defense Data Network (DDN).

Commands military construction crews of up to 40 personnel with associated vehicles and heavy equipment operating in remote locations. Engineers and manages construction projects costing up to $600,000. As the project officer, manages all phases, from project design, scheduling construction crews, materials and equipment acquisition, project costs monitoring, interfacing with customers and ensuring quality control. Develops computer database to track historical information regarding construction projects.
