As an Interim Education Health Care Coordinator at Achieving for Children, I work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) receive high-quality education and care that meets their needs and aspirations. I have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education with Qualified Teacher Status from University of Cumbria, and a Bachelor's degree in Education with Deaf Studies from University of Central Lancashire. I have several years of experience in the education sector, working as a SEND Case Officer at Worcestershire County Council and Surrey County Council, where I managed caseloads, coordinated assessments, and liaised with schools, parents, and professionals. I have developed skills in workshop facilitation, student success, policy advocacy, and communication. I am passionate about improving the outcomes and experiences of children and young people with SEN, and I strive to uphold the values and mission of Achieving for Children, which is to put children and families first.
