I'm Rae! I'm a creative being seeking to grow and expand my skills. I am excellent at communicating and following instructions. I am open minded with a positive attitude. I love learning new skills to add to my belt. I went to NWMSU, where I was a supervisor at Starbucks for the majority of my college career.Very shortly after receiving my B.S. in Psychology, I began working at a domestic violence shelter as a lead advocate. There, I learned so much about working with various types of people and cultures. I co-supervised the direct service team and was responsible for creating and managing projects for the advocate team to do outside of everyday tasks. These projects helped to organize and make the shelter function more smoothly for everyone. I left in 2020 to do freelance work with a heavy interest in graphic design. I started out creating personalized stickers for people and doing some custom designs for posters and invites for parties. I would do food delivery and odd jobs on TaskRabbit, such as interior painting and project managing kids’ homework for most of my income. On the side, I'd receive some craft and graphic design commissions. This all taught me time and self management. Since quitting, I've met and worked with people who taught me new skills and how to be more efficient in tasks, both in the real world and online. I've been given new opportunities for graphic design to grow my experience, including application graphics and social media graphics for a couple different businesses.When I’m not working, you may find me exploring things Kansas City, MO has to offer, outdoor roller skating, bullet journaling, teaching my cats tricks, or hanging in a coffee shop.
