2024 has been an intentional break so I could focus on physically recovering from surgery, mentally-emotionally healing from burnout and bereavement, explore and connect with my community through volunteer work, as well as take the time I needed to determine what my carrier shift should be.For most of my adult life I had been in creative work, which was also intensely physical, demanding of my time in a way that left no room for work life balance, and is no longer compatible with my understanding of what my body and mind need to thrive. I'll be applying to grad school in the coming months and will be shifting into social science and service!

I moved from Southern California to Columbus Ohio at the start of the pandemic. To keep Covid safe I did home improvement work for acquaintances until I was able to secure a full time remote position. I worked on one side of a 1910 duplex that had unsanitary living conditions. -Single handedly tore out and re-installed a kitchen after sanitation and wall repair.-Cleaned out a hazardous basement and sanitized, painted the walls and ceiling, opened and filled floor cavities, poured a new floor, repaired a wooden patrician and barn door, installed a jack post under a split beam, as well as installing a cement platform for a washer and dryer.-Sealed all holes and cracks through the house-Restored original window frames and windowsill, made and installed new screens.-Restored original interior Vertical Rim Lock Sets
