A time limited position, standing alongside survivors of the 2020 Mid-Michigan Dam failure to connect them to resources available, to support them in navigating FEMA and SBA Federal Programs, and to advocate on their behalf to the community funding table to receive additional recovery dollars. In this role I am responsible for outreaching to those most vulnerable to the effects of the flood, assessing the needs of those interested in case management, and empowering flood survivors to take ownership of their flood recovery.

Annually, under the Service Pillar of SVSU Student Life, 144 students participate in Alternative Breaks Service Experiences, 24 students participate in Habitat for Humanity Collegiate Challenge Experiences, and hundreds more engage in different volunteer opportunities, both on campus, and within the Great Lake Bay Region. As the Service Intern, I work throughout the Summer to build curriculum for our service trip experiences that supports participants' growth towards active citizenship and also work to maintain records, complete contracts, and distribute payments to our community partners and housing locations. During the school year, I compile on-campus and local opportunities for volunteering, and build a weekly e-mail to relay these opportunities to all SVSU students. Additionally, I process all incoming participant paperwork and fundraising monies gifted to the SVSU Service Programs.

This work with the SVSU Foundation involves maintaining records in the office's constituent database, sending mailings to solicit donations, placing 'Thank You!' phone calls to donors, and sorting through paperwork on file about all of our donors. All of this work is done to build relationships with friends and alumni of SVSU.

I managed a general account upwards of $150,000 for the student government at Saginaw Valley State University. I tracked spending by developing and balancing an annual budget for the organization, filed annual and quarterly sales taxes, distributed funds to students and registered student organizations at the university, and took minutes at business meetings.

My responsibilities included managing a cabin every week with girls ages eight to fourteen, supporting all the campers, encouraging them to get involved and grow in their faith, and maintaining the enthusiastic atmosphere of camp through songs and activities. Other responsibilities included planning for post-meal activities, camper's choice activities, evening programs, prayer services, etc.

I am involved in reaching out to businesses about housing collection bins for our school supply drives, making donations of supplies and other things, and becoming sponsors of our organization. For the 2016-17 school year we are distributing our collected supplies to the Flint area children in need.

My responsibilities include managing MYLead merchandise, completing cash reimbursement forms, and budgeting for alumni events/reunions and service projects.
