Supervision | Coaching | Mentoring | Consultation | Training How do you want to impact supervisees and consultees?I want people I supervise and consult with to like the collaborative supervision/consultation work I endeavour to do – because I help them to become better therapists/practitioners, help them to embrace that they do not have to be ‘experts’ in order to be effective with clients/patients, and to help them embrace their own compassion and skill and be proud of what they do. I want people I supervise/consult with to be able to sit with ambiguity and uncertainty, to be creative and open in work with clients – be able to use and go beyond the evidence-base to practice-based evidence with each client/patient. I want people I supervise/consult with to feel ok for their work to be messy and for them to be surprised by clients/patients and be able to hold their egos aside and make room for the client/patient to be a whole person in the room. And that I would orchestrate the art of supervision and consultation well enough that the people I would supervisee/consult with would like what they got (yes, it’s worth saying again) and come back for more.
