At SFI, I incorporated best practices in user experience and visual design to create digital and print products for SFI's education initiative, Project Learning Tree (PLT). • Led all phases of the UX & design process throughout product lifecycle including user research, concept development, visual design, prototyping, and testing in collaboration with developers to implement the product vision, perform maintenance, and iterate. • Defined user personas and journeys to create wireframes, site maps, and prototypes for PLT’s website redesign. Designed six responsive page templates.• Evaluated and iterated on designs based on usability tests, interviews, and internal stakeholder feedback. • Consulted with technical experts to ensure designs and built applications adhere to WCAG 2.1. Provided design recommendations to SFI to meet accessibility guidelines. • Proactively engaged stakeholders to present designs and deepen their understanding of how designs solve user problems and support business goals. • Developed content strategy and design improvements on PLT’s existing website elevating brand and improving user experiences while working within technical constraints of the current site theme.• Managed development of three curriculum products for forestry professionals, families, and youth from concept to content development, topic expert and practitioner review, correlations to NGSS and Common Core, and ideation of visual design strategy.

As the PLT Program Coordinator, I executed strategies to enhance systems for staff and the International Coordinators Network. I identified challenges for stakeholders and customers using PLT platforms and designed solutions to improve user experiences. • Managed three WordPress sites and two custom e-commerce platforms which included installing updates, troubleshooting technical issues, and executing content updates using HTML.• Developed PLT’s 2020 IT and digital optimization strategy, informed by user research, systems audit, and competitive analysis. • Redesigned the Network annual and quarterly reporting form system which included user journey mapping, data analysis and simplification, UX writing, and wireframing.• Designed handouts, factsheets, proposals, and marketing materials reporting to SFI’s Director of Graphic Design to achieve brand alignment. • Conducted research which included designing and distributing nationwide surveys, coordinating focus groups as well as leading a pilot test of new activities, translating feedback into easy-to-digest reports and infographics.• Led e-commerce platform migration including quality assurance of SSO user journey across six platforms and user data and content management for 5000 customers. • Assumed responsibilities for curriculum development during Director of Curriculum maternity leave (Sept-Jan 2019): Coordinated final edits, approvals, and print production for the Green Jobs curriculum guide; Managed consultants to develop two products and correlate 50 activities to NGSS and Common Core; Implemented feedback from content experts reviewing 50 activities. • Presented at six national education conferences providing educator professional development. • Initiated and led a working group on diversity, equity, and inclusion at SFI, leading staff training at the 2019 Annual Staff Retreat.

• Led farm education workshops at Arcadia's learning center for students grades K-5• Supported farm maintenance using sustainable urban agriculture techniques to plant, tend to, and harvest produce for DC metro area mobile markets.

Bridgeport, Ct

• Designed and implemented gender-based violence prevention education programming for Middle School, High School, and University Students, informed by best practices in social and behavioral change theories. • Worked closely with government, public, and private institutions to integrate prevention programming across six neighboring cities within the service network. • Facilitated a Youth Advisory Board engaging youth in education and prevention initiatives.

• Authored content strategy for fairfield.edu/survivor to provide for resources regarding prevention and reporting of sexual assault.• Acted as an advocate for survivors during Disciplinary Code of Conduct hearing and community mediation. Assisted survivors in preparing a victim impact statement and safety planning.

Milford, Ct

• Provided crisis intervention as a hotline volunteer which included accompanying victims at the hospital or police station. • Co-Facilitated weekly support group for survivors at the University of New Haven. • Developed and facilitated training for 30 volunteers in awareness and response of human trafficking (Nov. 19, 2013).

Fairfield, Ct

Founded a nationally recognized advocacy center for student dialogue, education, and community around a shared vision of gender equity and identity. Received recognition in 2012 from President Barack Obama in the Top 15 of the White House Campus Champion of Change award. Convened student, academic, and administrative representatives to advise on the center’s initiatives. Accomplishments include organizing annual Women’s Day and Take Back the Night events as well as collaborating with the Dean of Students to implement programming and campus-wide education for sexual assault prevention and awareness.
