Rafik spent 22 years at Deloitte working across most industries, but most of his latter career was spent in Financial Services. He led various propositions, including 3rd Party Assurance (UK), IT Specialism for Audits (UK) and Operational Resilience (Assurance UK). Also having been a Head of Internal Audit (on secondment) much of his focus over his Deloitte career was on operational and IT risk and control, transformation, regulatory governance and software platform development.Rafik has since moved into an independent consultative set of roles: assisting SMEs to transform, find finance and grow, software design and building for numerous purposes (both SME-owned and owned himself), sports data analytics and carefully selected NED roles. Each of these companies he assists fits with his ethos in his personal angel investing strategy: they are all ethically or socially responsible or trying to improve those aspects in their respective industries.
