It’s very difficult to talk about oneself, however, I’m sure you’d like to know where I come from, what I did, what I do, and what I plan to do in the future… First off, I graduated with an architecture degree from Venezuela’s Central University (FAU-UCV) over 14 years ago. At the turn of the century, I found myself in New York, pursuing a Masters Degree in New Media (digital) Arts, at the Interactive Telecommunications Program of New York University. As a creative individual, this has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It allowed me to evolve as a designer, as an architect and as an artist. It widened my perspective on the possibilities of digital media in creative endeavors, as well as the ability to better see and appreciate the environment.By the time I graduated from NYU, world changing events had occurred. The blow-up of the dot-com bubble, 9-11 and the beginning of the “war on terror”, all shattering realities that sum up to evaluate your life direction and purpose. I chose art as an escape to these harsh truths, and had it as a disciplined companion parallel to my professional undertakings, which led me to Florida, and to work with some of the most talented designers and architecture firms of the state and nation. I have been able to merge both worlds, as an artist I can show my understanding of the urban landscape through color and form. As an architect and designer I have been able shape the urban landscape and, hopefully, the social fabric that makes up our culture. Its an interesting mix of trades, in constant evolution and revision..
