ESOMAR es una asociación global que reúne a más de 40 mil profesionales de la industria de la investigación de mercado y opinión pública , siendo un referente mundial en materia de ética y tendencias en el sector.La principal responsabilidad del cargo es difundir el valor de la investigación de mercado en la toma de decisiones y promover el Código de Ética de ESOMAR, regulación que garantiza el uso autorizado y correcto de los datos personales de las personas que participan de estudios de mercados y opinión pública, así como el derecho de los investigadores a buscar, recibir y difundir información. Otro de los objetivos del cargo es motivar a profesionales de investigación de mercados chilenos a sumarse y asociarse a ESOMAR.

After 20 years in MR industry, I am focus to support my clients to USE the information (BigData) that they already have in their hands. Now is time to use this information regarding the consumers thinking and emotions.

RFollowing Synovate´s acquisition, I was appointed Business Development Director in charge of providing commercial support to various areas within the company. My responsibilities currently include providing support to the Board of Directors, the Sales & Marketing, and Communications departments. I also lead the client´s sales relationship of the L´Oreal and Clorox accounts at regional level. I actively participate in the research and development of new businesses

Durante la gestión se inicia el proceso de profesionalización de AIM, contratando por primera vez un Gerente. Se realiza cambio de imagen corporativa de Asociación de Empresas de IM a Asociación de Investigadores de Mercado, con la renovación de la imagen en el logo corporativo. Se incentiva la participación colaborativa de las empresas asociadas (presentación de JOVENES en ICARE , Abril 2012) y se planifica la realización del 1er Congreso de Investigación de Mercados y Opinión, que se llevará a cabo en Agosto del 2012. Actualmente sigo como Director Adjunto responsable del Congreso.

Responsible for the general operation of the Chilean branch. My tasks consisted in re-arranging the existing working teams, introducing the Synovate´s culture to the company, improving on financial results and positioning Synovate in the national market. Achievements: Refocused the company in line to its global corporate strategy, and achieved a work ethic based on personal and collective work (“Synovate”). Results: a 60% growth in sales systematically minimizing operational losses by 80%. Implementation of new and efficient technologies to the Operations Department. Improvement on client satisfaction indicators by 30%. Synovate became a sponsor of the national Association of Advisers in 2011, reaching a greater market visibility.

Following Cimagroup´s acquisition, I was appointed Deputy Regional Managing Director for Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia and Costa Rica. I assisted and overviewed the Country Managers by introducing Synovate Global in each country on an operational as well as an administrative level. I was in charge of promoting the company´s Excellence Operational Centres by training the staff on the company´s global methodologies. Achievements: During this period, I managed to change the corporate image and the organizational direction in Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Costa Rica (Bolivia was finally closed). Each country was able to include its financial reports to the corporate formats and systems. At Director level, each country was able to set each team in line with the global corporate policies.

Responsible for the supervision of the general operation in Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia and Costa Rica. My responsibilities included to provide support to the Country Managers on an operational level, and to help establish the administrative procedures. I also coordinated the sales negotiation procedures with Synovate for the Cimagroup´s acquisition. Achievements: An agreement on the sale of Cimagroup to Synovate was reached. I was responsible for the management of the “Due diligence” process in all countries. It is important to point out that each of the regional commercial operations remained fully active during this whole sales process.

Responsible for developing the business, and setting up local teams for both countries (a fortnightly presence in each country). Achievements: The branches were legally set after creating technical and administrative teams. Business was generated with local and international companies. The revenue increased from U$50 million to over U$80 million in each country. Clients included Telecommunications companies (Claro Peru / Andinatel Ecuador), Food & Beverage companies (Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Confiteca, Alicorp, amongst others) and financial companies. In 2006 I appointed local managers for these 2 countries.

Responsible for the local operation, and for providing assistance in the opening of other branches in Latin America. Achievements: During this period, Chile experienced a growth in sales which financially allowed the international expansion of the company. I headed the corporate image change from Cimaresearch International to Cimagroup.

During this period, I was responsible for the commercial development of the Client Service, Qualitative and Quantitative areas.
