As a Senior Full-stack Software Engineer, I am glad to be part of the Brazilian startup Hent. Hent is helping land lot developers better manage their sales receivables and streamline their processes by securing access to capital and connecting all the stakeholders involved. Hent is growing fast, and it was accelerated in Y Combinator and received investments from VC firms like Canary.We are using Ruby on Rails, TailwindCSS, and StimulusReflex as our main stack, but we also delve into Ruby on Jets to benefit from Lambda AWS. Our main database is PostgreSQL, but we also frequently use Redis for background jobs with Sidekiq and other secondary tasks. The CI/CD pipeline includes RSpec, Cypress, and a mix of GiHub Actions, Heroku, and AWS.

The Pernambuco Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology (IFPE) is a Brazilian institution of higher education located in Pernambuco State. I worked at IFPE for over seven years as a lecturer, researcher, and developer. Teaching subjects include, but are not limited to, the Internet of Things, Object-Oriented Programming, Web Development, and Database Systems.I have also developed some applications for internal use with Java, Python, and the Ruby on Rails framework.The last contribution was the school Learning Management System's design, development, and deployment during the pandemic.

Researcher and Manager of a cloud robotics research project involving areas such as 5G, Computer Vision, and Industrial Robotics. One of our proof of concept got second place in an international robotic competition (IROS 2017).

Responsible for the development of two applications targeted at the HP Virtual Application Networks (VAN) Controller. The first one involved a coarse-grained access control based on policies with the aid of SDN, while the second is an application to manage hosts connected to the network.

Started as the lead of a small team of eight people in a project that used JavaServer Faces (JSF) with Hibernate and MySQL to develop a SaaS for an insurance company. Aside from coding, activities included workflow planning, activities assignment, client meetings, effort estimation, and pull request review.After discovering an average loss due to issues in the developing environment of previous and parallel projects in the group of about 2 hours per day, I proposed a combination of IDE configuration with a Hot Deployment technique which improved the developer's daily efficiency by up to 20%, since most of our time was being lost with building the local app.I eventually left the leadership of my team to be a Java Specialist, helping across multiple teams, mostly with architecture and complex bugs that were slowing down the various projects.

Project - Inter-Domain Router for AdHoc Networks (2008 – 2010) • To investigate technologies and mechanisms to support the federation of heterogeneous mobile ad hoc networks. • To lead a team of software engineers in implementing an inter-domain routing protocol in different platforms and operating systems, including mobile phones, sensor boards, Windows, Linux. • To research, develop, and evaluate a self-organized network system to deal with duplicate address detection, abrupt disconnections, network partitioning, and merging using C++. • To research and develop a network address allocation method (Patent No.: WO2011009177).Project - IP Robust Network Construction (2005 – 2007) • To investigate mechanisms to protect IP networks from unwanted access or unauthorized changes in its components. • To implement a high performance multithreaded network protocol analyser for Unix in C. • To design and implement a protection mechanism for DDoS attacks in Java.Project: Sensornet (2005 – 2006) • To expand the research performed in modelling the energy waste of sensor nodes using statistical techniques and time series models. • To design and implement a Cross Layer project between MAC, Routing and Application layers for wireless sensor networks, using the programming language nescC in the operating system TinyOS.Project: Company Web Content Management System (2005 – 2005) • To develop a web content management system (CMS) using PHP. This CMS allows members of staff, national and international clients to manage web content of different projects with relative easy.
