    Thesis: “Quantitatitative traits in metabolism trade-offs: a real-time non-invasive in vivo approach”.This work resulted in the proposal of Energy Dissipation (ED) as a novel and universal biomarker for metabolic alterations that precede the emergence of several diseases. The described ED-based metrics can, potentially, allow for an earlier detection of diseases in which metabolic alterations occur, such as cancer.
