Rafael Chasles holds a bachelor's and a license in Geography from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, is a specialist in geospatial processing, and is pursuing a Master's degree in Remote Sensing at INPE. He has worked as an Environmental and Socioeconomic Analyst in the environmental licensing of wind and solar energy projects for ENGIE BRASIL ENERGIA. He contributed to the "Monitoring of Land Use and Coverage" project at IBGE and was a tutor for the Basic Disaster Defense Training Course funded by the National Secretariat for Protection and Disaster Defense (SEDEC) in partnership with the Center for University Studies and Research on Disasters (CEPED). Rafael was a CAPES scholarship recipient and taught geography in the public schools of Santa Catarina. He worked as a geospatial processing consultant on the project "Configurations of financial and microfinance networks in Brazil: spatial, technological, normative, economic and political change," and as a Remote Sensing specialist on the project "Environmental Monitoring of Brazilian Biomes by Satellite: Atlantic Forest, Caatinga, Pampa and Pantanal." Currently, he is on leave from teaching at SENAC SP for the courses: Environmental Technician, Preparation of Expert Reports, Environmental Licensing, and Environmental Geotechnologies, to pursue his Master's degree. He works as a geospatial processing consultant for Dynatest Engineering, on road projects located in Bolivia and Brazil.
