Being one of the coal procurement analyst at the companies I gained extensive experience with procurement processes and we were able to develop alternative coal suppliers to the company and reduce its coal cost by approximately 25%Specialization and Passion for ProjectsIt was after I left Gerdau in 2006 due to an invitation to work on the construction of a steel plant for ThyssenKrupp. During my 5 years at ThyssenKrupp I was responsible for the management of the Power Plant and 500kV Transmission Line Contract. My main responsibilities included claim management and negotiation, time schedule management, contract financial control, documentation management, contract communication with supplier, commercial negotiations, change management, equipment importation and right of way negotiation and strategy for 500kV Transmission Line. In 2012 upon arriving in Anglo American I had the opportunity to participate in the Minas Rio iron ore project. In Anglo American I was responsible for managing all of the equipment contracts of the project and making sure that all of the equipment bought were delivered on time within contract specification. During the progression of the project I was responsible to set up an area which gave commercial and management support to the engineers responsible for the construction contracts of the Minas Rio Project. My major responsibilities in Anglo American included claim management, time schedule management, budget control, equipment inspection before delivering, commercial negotiation, contract communication with supplier and change management. Entrepreneurship On December 2015 I had an opportunity to develop my own company in the fitness industry with a business partner. After setting up a successful indoor cycling and functional exercise studios Power Cycle was able to expand in my hometown and internationally with one business unit in Brazil and one in Dubai. The Boke Mine, Rail and Port Project, also known as the Guinea Alumina Company (GAC) is a bauxite mining and associated infrastructure project in Guinea.- Due to my previous experience with claim management in Brazil the CEO of GAC contracted me for a consulting job in Guinea to assist with suppliers's claims. As a consultant I was able to help GAC's commercial team along with their law department to analyze and defend themselves agains the claims. In the end GAC was able to avoid payments of approximatelly US$50 million and successfully negotiate most of the claims they had with project suppliers.

Project/Contract Management, Problem Solving, Leadership• Built project management team responsible for the delivery of 200 equipment contracts at the Anglo American Minas Rio with a value of $250 million.• Created quality assurance team which decreased non-conformity reports by 80%.• Designed critical contract controls and efficient interfaces between contract management, purchasing, and the technical department enabling the delivery of all contracts on time and within specified quality. Negotiated with all affected landowners and through the courts secured right-of-ways necessary to conclude the construction of the line.• Negotiated the donation of the transmission line to the state government by building relationship with federal government significantly reducing ThyssenKrupp costs. Time Schedule Management, Initiative, Problem Solving Abilities• With approval of Board of Officers, temporarily stopped construction of the Power Plant since other parts of the steel plant such as coking plant and blast furnace were lagging, impacting the commissioning of the Power Plant.• Negotiations to freeze construction work resulted in significant cost avoidance in claims from Alstom and successfully synchronizing with other parts of the plants as soon as work resumed.
