Rafael Vicente Dimalanta is a development worker working at the intersection of housing rights of the urban poor and food security. He brings to these advocacies his experience in community architecture and participatory planning, and participatory action research. He graduated with a degree in Architecture from the University of the Philippines Diliman; has taken units under the graduate studies program of the UP Department of Anthropology; and is currently taking his masters in Community Development at the same university. Concurrently, he is a researcher at the Program on Alternative Development of the UP Center for Integrative and Development Studies where he co-researches with civil society organizations to bring to light grassroots and alternative development perspectives.
