I worked as Tribe's Technical Manager, who was accountable for all the technology that enables business areas such as Operations and Finance. This tribe was organized into several squads, such as: KYC, Collections, Fraud, Salesforce, Omnichannel, FP&A, Treasury, Accounting, Transactions, Compliance, FinOps and Capital Markets. I had responsibilities such as mentoring top talent with several skills and helped them with their career path and worked closely with Product and Data areas as one team to align priorities and create solutions with greater business impact. As a side project, I was in charge of implementing an Incident Management Process that allowed us to improve some points of failure and a better prioritization of the technical debt based on the data generated in the postmortems.

When I was promoted to this position, the main challenge was to build a Software Architecture organization in the Technology area that would care about Konfio's technical future. So, I started from the Platform area and I worked on the transformation and growth of this team with more than 50 software engineers and architects approximately, all of them organized in several squads, such as: Architecture and Platform (Solutions Architecture, Platform and Integrations/Delivery), Credit Processes (Mining/Scraping, Scoring and Credit Implementation Team) and Mobile (Android and iOS). Our main responsibility was to work together with all the teams in the Technology area, helping them to build solutions taking care of scalability, maintainability and reusability to allow all products to have a greater business impact. All initiatives were based on constant work in synchronization with the Data, Cloud Engineering and Security areas. I had more responsibilities in the Technology area, in addition to Software Architecture, such as bringing in, training and mentoring the best talent to take on more responsibilities as part of their career path. The greatest achievement was becoming a unicorn as a Mexican company with a valuation of 1.3 billion dollars.

I worked leading the Platform area. One of the biggest challenges was helping them grow the team with more than 20 software engineers, all of them organized into five squads, such as: Platform Tools and IAM (Authentication/Authorization and Internal Command Line Interface), Platform Core API (Backend), Platform UI and Branding (Frontend), Platform Mining (Scraping) and Platform Mobile (Android and iOS). We worked together to enable best practices to make the daily work of all software engineers in the Technology area more efficient. Another challenge was to give visibility to the rest of Konfío about the value that the Platform area brings to the organization and it was successfully executed.

I worked in a very small and multidisciplinary team helping them to build from scratch, using the Kanban methodology, a new product known as Konfío Business Credit Card. My role was to design, implement and release an architecture that would allow the minimum functionalities to request, create, deliver, use and manage a Business Credit Card for our customers, including all the integration with the Card Processor and the Delivery Provider. We launched the MVP in just two months from the first line of code to the first Business Credit Card issued on the platform. After the launch, my main challenge was executing the handover of the project to another technical team that would take responsibility for providing continuity to the product and it was successfully executed.

I worked on the Platform team helping them with several enhancements to the Core API, such as: Migrating the CI/CD pipeline from Jenkins to Gitlab, dockerizing unit tests, adding alerts and monitoring using AWS CloudWatch Logs and Elastic Cloud Tools, adding new QA checks to the CI/CD pipeline and promote best practices in back-end development using Python.

I worked on some specific requirements of infrastructure in a couple of projects using some technologies like Elastic Cloud and AWS Kinesis. Also, I collaborated with some minor fixes in the mobile app using Flutter, with some integrations and with several unit tests in some projects.

I worked with the whole process of software engineering for several projects related to financial solutions based on Blockchain technology with cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash, Litecoin, among others. A great part of these projects were Wallets and Mining Pools. I belonged to a small team that worked using SCRUM methodology and using technologies like Python/Django for backend and ReactJS for frontend. I consider that part of my job was to perform functions as a Software Architect and Project Manager simultaneously.

We founded Byrus Web Design as a Software Consulting Company and I was in charge of the Technology area. We worked on the design, development, testing and deployment of more than 40 projects related to several kinds of business with many clients located in Latam and USA, using all Microsoft .NET Framework related technologies. Most of the projects were custom-designed web applications such as Web Pages, Administrative Systems, E-commerce, Content Management Systems (CMS) and Human Resources Systems. We build a customized CMS (Content Management System) that can be oriented for any kind of business project and it can be fully adapted to the needs of the client.

I started working on the development of a real estate business solution using Microsoft .NET Framework related technologies for approximately 1 year and also I worked on an internal project of the company that is oriented to the real estate business using Python/Django related technologies for 10 months. Another of the projects in which I participated during my experience in the company, it’s related to a fundraising multiplatform solution. I worked for 5 months on a web application using ReactJS and Firebase. Also I worked in the integration with Stripe Payments Platform for the donations microservice using Spring Boot Framework.

I worked on the development of several web applications on a small team using SCRUM methodology and using all Microsoft .NET Framework related technologies. One of the biggest projects in which I worked is "wind2share", which is a social referral network where you can monetize connections by partnering up with leading companies around the world and referring them to potential clients and business opportunities.

I worked on developing a new web platform for the program "SOS Telemedicina para Venezuela" that has more than 10 years of experience in the development and implementation of technological and educational solutions for the health of the population.
