Project in collaboration with Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi), involving a large network of scientists in different excellence centers worldwide.Planning and synthesis of new small molecules with subsequent characterization by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), Fourrier-transformed infrared (FTIR) and high resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) analysis.Synthesized molecules were evaluated against kinetoplastids (Trypanosoma and Leishmania species) at partner institutions.Evaluation of biological, pharmacokinetics and physicochemical properties, allowing a rational design of new molecules for tests as eventual drug candidates.
