Lead Mission Computing Electrical Engineer on the E-3 AWACS and 737 AEW&C Aircraft platforms. Responsible for selecting Mission Computing hardware and integrating it into the AWACS and AEW&C platforms. Develop and document Interface Control Documents and coordinate closely with the Air Vehicle's wire design and installation groups. Perform environmental hardware qualification testing of the Mission Computing equipment to meet platform's requirements. Senior Manager responsible to organize, coordinate and manage three different B-1 teams: Avionics Hardware, Avionics Systems and B-1 Platform Integration. Provided Electrical and System engineering services to enable production and field operations for the comprehensive B-1 Integrated Battle System (IBS) modification, a modification that adds modern computer and high definition displays to enhance the B-1 fleet. Managed activities at Oklahoma City and El Paso to assemble, test and qualify main display processor equipment that is the center piece of the IBS modification. Responsible for system level requirements and test team that successfully integrated four major software releases in 2014 and early 2015. Responsible to manage Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) for the B-1 Avionics suite. Provided engineering oversight of all major IBS suppliers.The Avionics Hardware team resolved a number of Avionics Hardware issues as part of the IBS modification. Managed cost, schedule and technical content of a large portfolio (over $20M) of Engineering Assignments projects that make significant improvements to the B-1 Aircraft's Avionics system operation.

Led, organized and managed four engineering teams: System Requirement, Design and Verification, Aircraft Test Integration, Specialty Engineering and Integrated Logistics Support. Responsible manager for developing plans and products in the following areas: System Requirements development, Software requirements development, System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDD) development, System Design development/oversight, Laboratory system hardware/software integration and test, flight test planning, flight test analysis, interface management, system architecture, Tech Pubs development, Integrated Maintenance development/tracking, Field support, Safety assessments, EMI/EMC assessments, Reliability/Maintainability tracking, Security assessments, Human Factors analysis, Survivability analysis, Mass Properties tracking, Airworthiness and risk management. Responsible for final Safety-of-flight testing of software releases to the field. Led and managed: laboratory testing, flight testing and corresponding data analysis for 15 major software releases. Responsible for the final Functional Configuration Audit (FCA); involving the generation of verification evidence for over 700 program-level requirements. Chairperson for the Aircraft Development Report Board, which prioritized over 5000 multi-disciplinary Aircraft Development Reports that were assigned and allocated to the different hardware and software design organizations across the whole C-130 AMP program. Led efforts to bring over eight engineering change proposals (ECPs) totaling over $37M to the C-130 AMP program. Participating in the Mentoring Program to help coach and guide future Boeing leaders. Provided engineering support to other Boeing programs, such as: C-17A, B-52, B-1, KC-10 CNS/ATM, KCX Tanker proposal, 747-8, CSAR proposal and 787. Led the team that wrote and prepared over 150 System Product Improvement Change Requests (PICRs), forming the basis for the future C-130 AMP Block Upgrade program.

Responsible to plan, lead, manage, coordinate, execute and measure the efforts in developing System Requirement documentation, System Architecture and Design documentation, Interface documentation, Database documentation, Hardware/software System Integration, System Test Plans, System Test Procedures development and execution, as well as Flight Test data analysis and Support. The functionality areas responsible to manage were: the Avionics Architecture, Flight Management, Navigation, Controls and Displays, Flight Guidance, Communication, Interfaces, Defensive Systems and CNS/ATM certification. Responsible for defining operational systems requirements and Architecture and coordinate them with the end user. Performed functional decomposition and synthesis for developing all the Software-level requirements necessary to implement all the functions of the C-130 AMP. Worked very closely with the Software, Avionics Hardware and Supplier Management teams to develop and derive lower tear requirements for design implementation. Provided oversight throughout the design phase. Incrementally verified all the system functionality throughout the integration and test phase. Managed tool implementation for various System documentation products, such as: DOORS for requirements, Visio for Display Format generation, Oracle for Interfaces Control and Clearcase and Clearquest for System Design documentation configuration management and problem reporting. System Level Test team earned the “Spirit of Quality” Award for the efforts leading up to the C-130 AMP’s first flight. Manager responsible of the laboratory system test team that discovered and resolved over 92% of the total number of the system integration problems found on the C-130 AMP program prior to Flight Test. Tracked and managed cost and schedule performance via the use of Earned Value Management System (EVMS).

Engineer responsible for testing and troubleshooting the Mission Computers prior to T1's first flight. Performed engineering support duties before and after first flight, during Flight Test and after Operational base deployment. Responsible engineer for the C-17 Flight Management System (FMS) function, developed new ideas and developed software requirements to improve/enhance the FMS. Author of numerous Product Improvement Change Requests that became the cornerstone of the Software Block upgrade process. System Integration and test Team Leader for the new replacement R4400 Processor ADA-based Core Integrated Processor (CIP) dual Mission Computers, a project that eventually won the Silver Eagle and Golden Eagle Awards. Responsible for System-level Integration and final qualification in the Flight Hardware Simulator. System Integration Team Leader to develop system and software-level requirements and design, lab Integration testing and Flight Testing of the Global Air Traffic Management (GATM) upgrade, a project that won the Silver Eagle Award. This project implemented the Change 7 Traffic Collision Avoidance System, the Mode S transponder, Civil Satellite Communication system and the CNS/ATM Datalink applications on the C-17. System Integration Team Leader to develop the System and software-level Requirements, design implementation, lab integration, final lab testing and Flight Test of the Mobility 2000 and Cockpit Printer C-17 upgrade. This project implemented the customized USAF military datalink application and the integration of a COTS printer in the C-17 cockpit. Primary advocate for the deletion of the legacy C-17 Air Refueling handle and associated hardware to make room for the Cockpit Printer. Developed software synchronization requirements to vastly improve Mission Computer system robustness; this led to the incorporation of a dedicated ethernet network between the C-17’s Core Integrated Processors that greatly improved system stability.

Senior Engineer-Electronics, McDonnell Aircraft St. Louis, F/A-18C/D Project. Designed a new Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Interface PC AT card for the F/A-18 Night Attack aircraft Mission Computer (MC) Test Bench. Maintained and troubleshot MC test benches and Harris H-series host computers on several F/A-18 projects. Made hardware and software improvements to the F/A-18 MC GSE Test Bench interface. Worked Spanish EF-18 and F/A-18C/D Projects. Wrote 8085 Assembly and Fortran 66 for the F/A-18's MC Ground Support Interface Bench. Trained Spanish engineers on the operation of the MC Test Bench and its Harris Host Computer environment. Traveled to Madrid, Spain in two occasions to provide extended field technical support as part of the EF-18 Spanish sale. Helped develop the F/A-18's MC Memory Loader.
